After putting extra work doing beach runs in Porthcawl and reporting for training two weeks early, Thomas won Championship player of the month in August.

He initially joined Boreham Wood as a 16-year old following a trial after he was released by West Ham.

He took up a bricklaying course and worked part time in a sports shop before Huddersfield took a chance on him.
