Ava Phillippe may be the daughter of two high-profile actors – Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe – but she still isn’t sure if she wants to follow in her famous parents’ footsteps.
The 22-year-old blonde is currently attending UC Berkeley and has worked as a model while building her social media profile to nearly 1 million followers, all before graduating college.
After her time in academia is done, though, Phillippe revealed in a new interview with E! that she isn’t quite sure if she wants to pursue acting.

Phillippe will be the new face of Pat McGrath Labs x Bridgerton, a limited edition collection that debuts on December 26.
She opened up that her parents have been supportive in her endeavors and want her to choose her own path, whatever that may be.
‘My parents have always encouraged me to choose the path that’s right for me and, you know, guide me along the way to make better choices than I might make,’ Ava said.

‘I’m so grateful for that. That is such a privilege to have parents that support you in that way and to want you to be who you truly are meant to be. So I think I’m trying to do that,’ she added.
When asked about the potential for an acting career, Phillippe said, ‘I don’t see it out of the question, certainly,’ but she still hasn’t fully decided.
‘I’m not so sure on where I’m going yet. That’s kind of what I’m trying to figure out in this stage of my life, what’s the right fit for me and what’s going to do the best for others within that context, and what can I be most impactful with,’ she added.’

When asked what she’s learned while attending UC Berkeley, Ava added, ‘not to take everything personally, especially socially.’
‘We can get wrapped up in our heads that everything is about us in some way or another, in hurtful ways, in helpful ways and everything in between,’ she continued.

‘But I really think the lesson I’m learning is, let people be who they are and do your best with what you know,’ she added.
Ava is the oldest of two children shared by Witherspoon and Phillippe, with the youngest being 18-year-old son Deacon.
Reese revealed in a November interview with InStyle that she often gets mistaken for her daughter, which she loves.
‘It makes me feel so young. I’m so proud of her. She really rolls with it. I’m sure it’s not easy looking exactly like your mother,’ Reese said.
