Fans have taken to social media to criticise Jarrod Bowen for missing a clear-cut opportunity to score against Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.
West Ham were losing 3-2 to Leeds at the London Stadium when Bowen missed a chance to level the game in the 90+3 minute.
The result saw West Ham squander their chance of cementing a five-point gap between themselves and fifth-placed Arsenal.

Bowen was initially regarded as the hero after providing the equaliser to Jack Harrison’s opening goal in the 10th minute.
Bowen’s equaliser in the 34th minute marked his fourth goal in his last three games for West Ham.

However, he had the opportunity to get his name on the scoresheet once again when Antonio played the ball into him at the back post in the 90+3 minute.
The winger was left unmarked but bizarrely decided to chest the ball at goal instead of heading it. As a result, it went flying over the bar from a few yards out.
Fans took to social media to express their disappointment in Bowen. Some supporters even referred to his howler as ‘the miss of the season’.
One fan took to Twitter to say: ‘Bowen shushing our fans only to go on to lose the game and then miss an open goal in the last minute’.
Another fan wrote: ‘Jarrod Bowen might have the miss of the season so far as he decides to chest the ball over heading it into a WIDE OPEN net with the final touch of the game.’
One user commented saying: ‘OMDS. How did Bowen missed that?’, while another added: ‘What a miss. Taxi for Bowen 3 points in London.’
One supporter Tweeted saying: ‘No one gonna talk about how Bowen just missed from around a yard out.’
