Dolly Parton reveals Keith Urban is her dream duet partner

Watch out Nicole! Dolly Parton reveals Keith Urban is her dream duet partner as he’s one of the ‘most talented and cutest guys’ – but insists she’s ‘not trying to hit on him’

American music legend Dolly Parton has revealed she’s got her eyes on Kiwi rocker Keith Urban – but strictly for a duet and maybe even a baking session.

The age-defying 76-year-old appeared on Good Morning America this week to promote her new range of cake mixes and baking goods.

In the chat, Dolly revealed that rocker Keith, 54, is the musician who she would love to collaborate with on a duet.

But it was all in the name of good fun, as Dolly, who is happily married, insisted that she wasn’t ‘trying to hit on Keith as he’s got Nicole [Kidman]’.

When asked who is the person she’d love to bake or sing a duet with, Dolly hilariously quipped: ‘Any of the good lookin’ ones!’

She added: ‘I love Keith Urban. I’ve always thought that he was one of the most talented and cutest guys in the world.’

‘I’m not trying to hit on him, cause he’s got Nicole [Kidman] and who could beat that, she’s Jolene.’

‘We could let Nicole sit over and listen to us sing. I’ll fix [the cake] and she can serve it and have a piece,’ Dolly said.

She added: ‘I love his writing and I just think he’s dear.’

Dolly and Keith have performed together on stage before and he also once sang her hit Applejack on an Australian variety show as a teenager.

Keith recently told Apple Music he could sing like Dolly back in the day.

‘Country was the thing that I took to, it was the songs I could learn, it’s what I could sing and songs like Galveston, Wichita Lineman, all the Glen Campbell stuff,’ he said.

‘Dolly Parton because I could sing in her register pre-puberty. Man, I could literally sing Coat of Many Colors or Applejack in Dolly’s key. It was insane, and it’s floating around on YouTube.’
