Van de Beek is expecting his first child with Bergkamp’s daughter later this year. The pair announced the news on Instagram in November 2021.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Bergkamp was eager to help Van de Beek find a new club after failing to cement his place in the Manchester United first-team.

According to Sky Sports, Bergkamp contacted his former Arsenal team-mate, Vieira, over a potential move for Van de Beek.

Vieira is said to be happy with his squad but believes the addition of Van de Beek’s European experience could be valuable.

Therefore, he is hoping to complete a loan deal with Manchester United for their out of form midfielder.

Van de Beek has struggled to cement a place in the Manchester United first-XI since arriving at Old Trafford from Ajax in a deal worth £40million in 2020.

Despite a goalscoring debut for the club, the 24-year-old has made just four Premier League starts during his time at Old Trafford.

Having played just 380 minutes of football this season, Van de Beek is said to be looking for more regular pitch time.
