Leeds have NO desire to sell Kalvin Phillips amid interest from Manchester United and Liverpool

Leeds have NO desire to sell midfielder Kalvin Phillips amid interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid… but Marcelo Bielsa’s side know they face a battle to keep England star this summer

  • Leeds are desperate to keep hold of Kalvin Phillips amid heavy interest in the star
  • Man United, Liverpool and Madrid are linked with the England international
  • Leeds have no interest in sanctioning a sale of the 26-year-old midfielder
  • However, they accept that it will be a battle to keep him in the coming summer

Leeds have no wish to sell Kalvin Phillips but know they face a battle to keep him in the summer amid interest from Manchester United among others.

Leeds have been trying to bring in Brenden Aaronson from Red Bull Salzburg but that could be shelved until the summer too leaving them to ask for Liverpool midfielder Takumi Minamino on loan, particularly if Crysencio Summerville joins Hamburg on Monday. Leeds also asked about Chelsea’s Kenedy.

Phillips has been a standout player in Marcelo Bielsa’s side for a number of seasons now and reportedly wants to play Champions League football.

That has put Liverpool – who have been linked with a £33.4million bid – as well as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, on alert for a potential move for the England international.

Earlier this month, reports in Spain suggested that Real Madrid have thrown their hat in the ring, with Leeds reportedly more willing to let the midfielder move abroad than see him join a fellow Premier League side.

The report adds Phillips is one of the ‘great obsessions’ of Real boss Carlo Ancelotti, who wants to convert him into a substitute for current midfield star Casemiro.

Meanwhile, Raphinha has attracted interest from a host of clubs, with European champions Chelsea reportedly linked with a move for the Brazilian.

The Brazilian has been a stand out performer for Marcelo Bielsa, scoring eight times in the league so far this season

As a result, he has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs including Chelsea and West Ham.
