Craig Conover was forced to tell the truth and confessed to a past fling with Kristin Cavallari during a late-night argument with Lindsay Hubbard on Monday night’s episode of Summer House.
But Kristin was quick to deny any speculation of a romantic connection as sources claimed their relationship was strictly platonic despite being attached at the hip last summer amid reports they were in a love triangle with his Southern Charm co-star Austen Kroll.
‘He’s making it up — it’s not true,’ a source told Us Weekly about Craig and Kristin’s rumored romance. ‘They never hooked up.’

The insider added that Craig is ‘just capitalizing on her name’ after he told Paige DeSorbo that he had ‘hooked up’ with the former MTV star before.
‘She’s not watching Summer House or giving any attention to it,’ the source added. ‘She doesn’t care.’
The Sewing Down South entrepreneur revealed some of his past to Paige after she confronted him about rumors he had been romantically involved with the former Laguna Beach star.
‘No, I’ll tell you, it was, like, I’ve hooked up with her before,’ Craig confessed on the episode, which was filmed in July 2021.

‘Lindsay, was like, on the, like, whole car ride with Austen, she was like, “Who was Kristin hooking up with? Craig or Austen [Kroll]?’” the ‘Giggly Squad podcast cohost said at the end of the episode.
He interrupted Paige to say that Kroll ‘hates that I was making out [with Kristin].
‘I look like I’m in this love triangle that I didn’t ask to be in,’ Paige said, who began dating Craig in May 2021.
‘Are you still f****ing her?’ she asked before ‘to be continued’ credits flashed across the screen.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on an episode of Watch What Happens Live in December 2020, Kroll said they became friends when Cavallari reached out to Conover on social media.

When a fan asked if there was ‘something else going on there,’ Kroll responded ‘We just all get along so, so well,’ as he added, ‘She is certainly just living her best life,’ following her split from ex-husband Jay Cutler in April 2020.
Not letting the boys get off so easy after their television appearance, her longtime friend and hairstylist Justin Anderson went to bat for her on social media.
