Ashlee Simpson embarks on Target run with daughter… after claims she ‘nearly LOST wedding ring’

Ashlee Simpson was spotted this week embarking on a Target run in Los Angeles with her daughter Jagger, six. 

The 37-year-old younger sister of Jessica Simpson cut a stylish figure in a sleek camel-toned blazer over basic black.

Her latest sighting comes in the wake of claims that she nearly lost her wedding ring while dancing at a horserace afterparty.

When she was seen running errands in Los Angeles this week, she did have a ring on her wedding finger – but it appeared to be different from the one Evan gave her. 

Ashlee shares Jagger and a son called Ziggy, one, with her husband Evan Ross, who is the son of singing legend Diana Ross.

Along with her younger two children Ashlee also has a son called Bronx, 13, with her first husband Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy fame. 

Over the weekend Ashlee and Evan were spotted posing up a storm at the 2022 Pegasus World Cup in Hollywood, Florida.

While the couple were attending an afterparty for the event at the Carousel Club by the track, Ashlee’s ring is alleged to have slipped from her finger.

The five-carat Neil Lane ring is said to include rubies as well as 140 white diamonds – and to have set Evan back a whopping $500,000.

‘They were [dancing] in the VIP area in front of the stage with Nicole Scherzinger and DJ D-Nice… when Ashlee started yelling: “My ring! It just flung off!” She was very upset and nearly in tears,’ a source told Page Six.

‘Her group of friends started searching around the area with Evan’s iPhone flashlight,’ added the insider, dishing that Evan at one point began to ‘lift up the sofas and chairs, looking underneath’ as the search continued.

‘After almost an hour of searching, Evan looked in the bushes and found the ring in the dirt,’ whereupon ‘he spun around and got down on one knee in front of Ashlee as if proposing,’ according to the source.
