Cristiano Ronaldo is prepared to wait to see who Manchester United’s new manager will be before deciding on his future.
The 36-year-old 14 goals in 24 appearances in his comeback season at Old Trafford, in what has been a frustrating season for the Red Devils.
Ronaldo is contracted at the club for a further season after this, but there is some uncertainty over his future with the club facing an uphill challenge to qualify for next season’s Champions League

ESPN have reported that Ronaldo will wait to see who the club’s permanent manager will be going forward but deciding whether he should stay past this season.
Ralf Rangnick is currently in temporary charge after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked earlier in the campaign.
United though are still to confirm who their manager will be past the end of the current campaign.

It’s said the decision could be taken out of Ronaldo’s hands if the new manager doesn’t have the Portuguese superstar in his future plans.
A future outside of Old Trafford could seen him move to a club in the MLS or even the Middle East.
There had been hopes that with the additions of Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane in the summer, United would be able to mount a challenge for the title.
Ronaldo has scored important goals but has shown signs of frustration this season
That has not come to fruition however as they sit 19 points off league leaders Manchester City in fourth.
The season could have been worse for United without Ronaldo, who has often come to their rescue with late goals in games.
Ronaldo, who turns 37 on Saturday, has shown signs of discontent through the season however, when he has been left out of the starting 11 or substituted early in matches.
