Harry Styles sees his business wealth skyrocket by almost £2m thanks to canny stock market investments as one of his businesses is now worth £5.5m

Harry Styles has seen wealth in one of his businesses rocket to £5.5 million thanks to clever stock market investments.

The singer, 28, made nearly £2million last year and half of this was down to a rise in the value of his shares.

Accounts for HSA Publishing revealed the value of his listed investment went up from £3.265 million to £4.151 million last year.

Harry, who is set to return to live dates later this year with his Love On Tour and release a new album, also saw cash reserves in the company rocket to £1 million from just under £400,000.

The downside for shrewd Harry, who is worth £75 million, is that he was landed with a £419,000 corporation tax bill for the company.

Harry’s other company Erskine Touring Limited will file accounts later this year. Last year it made £14 million as it shot in value to almost £29 million.

His last album Fine Line released two years ago went platinum and topped the US charts. He has increasingly been Turing to acting with roles in Dunkirk and 2021s Eternals with Angelina Joie and Kit Harington.

Last year, Harry was reported to be the richest of his former One Direction bandmates after his record label doubled its value to £28million.

The Watermelon Sugar hitmaker’s, 27, Erskine Records Ltd is said to be worth £28.79million after its value was previously £14.9million in 2019.

It comes after Harry’s overall fortune was estimated at £63million by The Sunday Times in May 2020.

According to The Sun, Erskine Records Ltd is worth £28.79million in books filed to Companies House on Wednesday for the 12 months to March 2020, with £14.6million put into investments.

The publication also claims that Harry’s ‘touring outfit made a loss of £1.8million’ due to live shows being postponed or cancelled amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

The singer was forced to delay all of his 2020 Love On Tour shows ‘until further notice’, with Harry going on to postpone his UK and European dates in early 2021. 

In 2020, Harry come out on top when weighed up against his One Direction bandmates.

The singer soared to fame as one fifth of the group – made up of Niall Horan, 27, Liam Payne, 27, Zayn Malik, 28, and Louis Tomlinson, 29, on The X Factor in 2010 – the band has been on a hiatus since 2016 as they all launch solo careers after Zayn quit.

One Direction smashed records in 2014 when their Where We Are tour became the highest-grossing tour by a vocal group in history, grossing around £220 million. In 2020, the band had sold a total of 70 million records worldwide.

Niall came in second with an estimated fortune of £50million, Louis follows with £45million, Liam has amassed £44million and Zayn £36 million.
