Michael Clarke is engrossed in his phone as the retired cricket captain heads to the gym

Since retiring from first class cricket in 2015, he’s pivoted into a career as an influencer.

And Michael Clarke appeared to be checking his Instagram likes as he made his way to a Sydney gym on Friday.

The 40-year-old was glued to his phone as he arrived for his morning workout. 

The toned former athlete clad his physique in a black T-shirt and dark shorts.

Clarke’s salt and pepper tresses were swept back from his face as he diligently checked his phone.

The outing comes just one week after Michael played on his immaculately preened visage to promote a ‘peptide eye gel’ on Instagram. 

Clarke captioned the shirtless post, ‘Surviving the 4AM alarm and dad life thanks to @dermalogicaaus and their Awaken Peptide Eye Gel’. 

Ever conscious of his appearance, Clarke visited beautician to the stars Jocelyn Petroni at her clinic in upmarket Woollahra for a treatment earlier this month. 

A bespoke men’s facial at the salon costs $300 alone, while other services include manicures and pedicures and facial peels.  

Michael split from ex Pip Edwards in December, after an on-again-off-again romance.

Earlier this year it was reported that eyebrow stylist Kristin Fisher, 36, ‘hooked up’ with Michael at a New Year’s Eve party hosted by Dina Broadhurst and Max Shepherd in Vaucluse.

P.E Nation founder Pip is said to be ‘unhappy’ about the pair’s ‘rendezvous’.  

Kristin’s friendship with Dina is also raising eyebrows, as Dina was previously best friends with Pip.

In recent weeks, Dina and Pip have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
