Lisa McCune reveals she’s ready to find love again after THAT kissing scandal

Lisa McCune has revealed she’s ready to find love again, 10 years after she was caught kissing opera singer Teddy Tahu Rhodes while they were both married to other people. 

‘I’m such a believer that you just have that romantic notion that I might just bump into someone on the street one day,’ Lisa, 51, told Samantha Armytage on her Something To Talk About podcast last week.  

‘I still believe that can happen and if it does that’s really wonderful and if that doesn’t happen that’s okay too.’ 

‘But that person [you date] does carry a small burden [being in the public eye]… it does affect them a little bit.’

In 2012, Lisa was famously pictured kissing New Zealand opera singer Teddy, 55, her co-star in the stage production of the musical South Pacific. 

The photos were splashed across the tabloids and dubbed ‘scandalous’ because she was still married as far as the public was concerned. 

Lisa did not announce her separation from husband Tim Disney when she was caught kissing Teddy, leading some publications to speculate the couple had an ‘open marriage’.

‘That gives me the giggles,’ she was quoted as saying at the time.  

‘I think the description [open marriage] is hysterical. It does make me laugh when I read that.’ 

She married Tim in 2000, and they went on to welcome three children – sons Archer, 20, and Oliver, 18, and daughter Remy, 16.

Lisa revealed in 2020 she was ‘happily single’, but still living with her ex-husband as they continued to co-parent their three children.
