The Ospreys have suspended two players after shocking footage emerged appearing to show one of them thrusting himself against a sleeping homeless person.

The rugby team confirmed that Matthew Aubrey, 24, and Callum Carson, 22, had been suspended with immediate effect pending further investigation after footage emerged online of the players mocking the rough sleeper.

They went on to say that the behaviour shown was ‘totally unacceptable and not condoned by anyone associated with the Ospreys’.

The clip, which was posted on Matthew Aubrey’s Snapchat account, appears to show Welsh rugby union player Callum Carson approaching a rough sleeper in Cardiff city centre before lying next to them and smiling at the camera.

He then places his arm around the unidentified person before thrusting his hips against them.

The person on the floor appears to be sleeping and does not appear to be aware of what is taking place.

The incident took place near the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff city centre, Wales Online reports.

A statement from the Ospreys said: ‘The behaviour shown in this video is totally unacceptable and not condoned by anyone associated with the Ospreys.

‘Both individuals have been suspended with immediate effect, pending further investigation.
