Travis Barker celebrates stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya’s 23rd birthday by sharing sweet snap

Travis Barker took to Instagram on Thursday to pay tribute to his stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya on her 23rd birthday.

‘Nobody likes you when you’re 23,’ captioned the drummer, 46, who was quoting a lyric from his band Blink-182’s hit song What’s My Age Again? 

Barker continued: ‘Happy Birthday, I love you so much @atianadelahoya’

Included with his heartfelt words was a photo of himself and Atiana posing together on the beach, with the rocker donning a black sleeveless tee and his stepdaughter opting for a tank top. 

‘Love you!!  feeling very liked this year,’ penned Atiana in the comment section of Barker’s post, which has amassed nearly 200,000 likes. 

Last year, Atiana’s father Oscar De La Hoya showed his support for Barker during an Instagram Ask Me Anything session that the former professional boxer with hosted with his fans.  

At one point in the Q&A, a follower asked the 48-year-old Olympic gold medalist: ‘How do you feel about Travis claiming he raised your daughter?’

‘I have nothing but respect for my man @travisbarker,’ Oscar wrote on his Instagram Story.

Atiana’s mother is model Shanna Moakler, whom Barker was married to from 2004 until their 2008 divorce.

Oscar and Shanna began dating in October 1997 and announced their engagement the following year.

The model gave birth to Atiana in March 1999 but the couple’s relationship ended in September 2000 when Shanna saw Oscar on a date with another woman at the Latin Grammy Awards while she watched the show from home.

In December 2000, Shanna filed a $62.5 million palimony suit against Oscar which was eventually settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.    

The former Playboy Playmate married Travis in 2004 when Atiana was five-years-old.  The Blink-182 frontman and Shanna  welcomed son Landon Asher Barker in 2003 and daughter Alabama Luella Barker in 2005.

Though Travis, 46, has never stated that he raised Atiana, he was actively involved in her upbringing. Atiana was frequently featured on Travis and Shanna’s reality show Meet the Barkers which ran from 2005 to 2006.

Travis and Shanna had a highly publicized on-and-off relationship. They formalized their divorce in 2008 but continued to attempt reconciliation for several years after.

Travis has continued to maintain a close relationship with Atiana, who has recently been seen on family vacations to Disneyland and Utah with the drummer and his fiancee Kourtney Kardashian, 42. 

Atiana is also frequently spotted spending time with Oscar. The boxing promoter often takes her to charity events and in 2019, the father/daughter duo competed together on Fox’s MasterChef Celebrity Family Showdown.

While Shanna has publicly feuded with Travis and Kourtney amid their high-profile romance, the boxer and the Grammy nominee have stayed on friendly terms.

Last May, the two shared a sweet exchange on Instagram after Oscar commented on a shirtless photo that Travis posted.

‘Damn, bro, your cute haha love you, bro,’ Oscar wrote along with a smiley face with sunglasses emoji.

Travis replied, ‘Haha love you too, brother.’
