‘I was expecting there to be this like glorious moment where they hand me my baby and we look into each other’s eyes and we become one, but it wasn’t like that at all.’

Ash and husband Adrian Brine welcomed son Buddy Ray in September, 2021.

She said it wasn’t long before she felt those strong feelings growing, adding she wasn’t sure if her son even ‘liked’ her.

‘It took me kind of maybe a month or two to really start to feel like he even liked me,’ the star joked to the publication.

Ash revealed while her life had been turned ‘upside down’ by the new arrival, she sought help and advice from her own mother.

‘I cried to my mum, ”Mum I think the baby hates me!?” and she’s like ”No darling, he’s just a blob right now and all he does is feed and sleep and eventually he’ll smile at you”.’
