Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy puts on a smiley display as he supports on-screen husband Noah Reid at his Broadway debut in play The Minutes

Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy, 38, headed to the theatre on Sunday to support his on-screen husband Noah Reid, 34, in his Broadway debut in new production The Minutes.

The actors enjoyed a backstage chat at The Studio 54 Theatre in New York, before smiling for some snaps together.

Dan looked ultra-suave in an undone black suit, layered over a casual white T-shirt and paired with some chunky loafers.

He added a gold chain and a beaded bracelet to the ensemble, with his dark locks styled in a quiff as he supported his pal.

Meanwhile, stage star Noah sported a lighter ensemble in a pair of khaki chino trousers, a matching shirt tucked in and a taupe longline coat layered over.

The actor paired brown pointed shoes with the ensemble as he chatted to Dan backstage.

On screen, Noah and Dan tied the knot in a fairytale wedding during season six’s season finale – with the pair proving they’re also close off-screen as they put on a friendly display.

Dan also took to his Instagram to display his support for pal Noah, posting a Story to his 4.9million followers as he attended the play.

He shared a snap of the playbill, sweetly writing: ‘So so Proud @olreid’

Noah is starring alongside seasoned stage actors such as Jessie Mueller, Ian Barford and Sally Murphy in the play, which was written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tracy Letts.

The production focuses on the inner workings of a city council meeting and the factors such as hypocrisy and ambition that come to the surface when a newcomer to the small town starts to ask the question the norm.

It is Noah’s Broadway debut, after starring as Patrick Brewer in Schitt’s Creek, Kevin in Kevin From Work and other roles such as the original voice of of Franklin the Turtle in Children’s TV show Franklin.
