Notorious NRL WAG Arabella Del Busso thanks fans for ‘overwhelming amount of love and support’ following her celebrity boxing match win

Arabella Del Busso defeated influencer Papi Katarina in their celebrity boxing match on Saturday.

And on Sunday, the former NRL WAG thanked her fans for their support, posting a long caption to Instagram alongside photos from her big win. 

‘Not even a full 24hrs later and I’m trying to find the right words to describe last night,’ the 29-year-old wrote.

‘From the win to the atmosphere… support from the crowd was another level,’ she continued.

‘The overwhelming amount of love and support I’ve been shown has made what was an amazing experience, that much better. 

‘I’ve yet to have the time to get back to all of you but I just want you to know that I am immensely grateful to each and every one of you and appreciate it more than you know. It has been a ride that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.’

She went on: ‘Grateful for the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone, to be taught so much by so many amazing individuals in America, and to be able to prove what I’m made of. I can’t wait to see where this chapter takes myself next but I’m ready and willing to put in the work.’

Arabella also thanked her coach, as well as tagging the Coltivare Fruit and Vegetable Store which presumably fueled her training.  

Del Busso and Katarina got into the ring at the Pretender to Contender: Winner Takes All match at the Melbourne Pavilion, with Del Busso prevailing by unanimous decision after three rounds.

It comes months after Arabella denied claims she was ‘dropped’ from her previous debut match on December 22 over ‘severe backlash’ to her ‘dodgy past’.

‘Unfortunately that’s far from the truth,’ she said of claims that she’s been dropped, adding that the women did not each reach the required 65 kilo weight target to match up in the ring. 

Arabella was initially scheduled to make her boxing debut against English model Kate McLaren at the No Limit event at Sydney’s The Star on Wednesday 22 December, which was headlined by Paul Gallen vs Darcy Lussick.

Arabella revealed that her team were concerned a about her ‘health and well-being’ as she has not boxed before, while Kate is experienced. 

Speaking ahead of her fight on Sunday, Arabella told Daily Mail Australia: ‘I’m really looking forward to it, and have been dedicated and training five times a week. 

‘It’s something I have always wanted to do, and this is a great opportunity for myself. I have received such great support and have a lot of people behind me, and what better than to put a show in front of my own city of Melbourne?’
