Bindi Irwin captures heart-warming footage of Grace Warrior learning how to walk at Australia Zoo

Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s daughter Grace Warrior took her first steps earlier this year. 

And wakeboarder-turned-Wildlife Warrior Chandler, 25, has captured heart-warming footage of the little one walking in the back garden of their home at Australia Zoo.

Holding on tight to the little one’s hand, Bindi guided her daughter, one, over to her father.

‘You get him. Get Dada,’ Bindi is heard saying in the clip.

After they tiny tot walks over to Chandler, he scoops her up in his arms and cuddles her, saying  ‘Aahh you got me!’

Back in February, the couple celebrated Grace’s first steps.

In the image, the tiny tot was dressed up in a cute white outfit and a pink bow headband. 

She slowly took some steps from her mother’s arms and into her father’s.

‘Making memories every day with our little Grace Warrior. She’s crawling all over the place and is trying to walk. So proud!’ Chandler gushed in the caption. 

It came after Bindi shared a sweet photo to Instagram of her little girl learning to walk. 

In the photo, the wildlife conservationist and her husband Chandler held their daughter’s hand as she took a few steps.

‘Hello, I thought I’d do a little introduction/recap as there are a few new friends here. If you’ve been part of my journey for a while, thank you,’ she captioned the post.

‘My name is Bindi Sue Irwin. My parents named me after a crocodile and the family dog, Sui. I’m a Wildlife Warrior and have dedicated my life to speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Conservation work is my life. It’s not just what I do, it’s who I am.’

She went on to discuss her family’s non-profit organisation, Wildlife Warriors, which ‘funds conservation projects around the world’.

‘Our Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital has treated over 100,000 sick, injured and orphaned patients. Our goal is to get every animal we treat back into the wild.’

Bindi ended: ‘Everything we do, we earn, we are, is for conservation. Thank you for sharing this adventure with me. I’m grateful to give you a glimpse into my family life each day.’

Bindi and Chandler announced their daughter’s birth on March 26, just one day after she was born on their first wedding anniversary.

‘March 25, 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter,’ Bindi wrote on Instagram.

‘Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s,’ she wrote.

‘Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior.

‘Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.’
