The video footage shows groups of players holding a member of the public away from other teammates and lots of pushing and shoving.

Nine News reported that a 12-year-old boy had allegedly been chased by a man with a raised fist who attempted to punch him in the back of the head. The boy was allegedly left ‘shaken’ by the incident.

SA Police arrived on the scene after the final whistle at around 4.30pm and say the incident was over by the time they arrived.

Officer have confirmed that they are investigating the incident and have asked for anybody who was assaulted and hasn’t yet reported it, or witnessed the brawl, to contact them.
