A teenager’s left arm has been ripped off as he slipped and fell on the tracks between subway cars while attempting to subway surf in Queens.

The teenager was said to have been trying to climb to the top of the train and fell after losing his balance, landing on the tracks on a northbound R train with a group of friends at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station.

When the train left the station, it struck the teen, severing his left arm just before 10:30am.

A straphanger who spotted the boy fall hit an emergency help button and told the conductor the boy cut his arm.

A girl who was with the boy’s friends cried as medics arrived. The boy was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition shortly before 11:30am.

‘We know he was subway surfing on the outside of the car,’ a transit worker at the station told The New York Post.

‘Usually when you’re subway surfing, you have to get off the train before the tunnel. He must’ve miss that point.’

The boy’s left arm was severed ‘from the elbow down.’ His arm was found under the train.

‘He was just looking around like nothing happened. He didn’t cry or nothing,’ said a worker to the Post.

Detectives have been at the station all of Monday afternoon and are looking to speak to witnesses who may have seen what happened in the moments before the teen fell.

Police have yet to say whether any charges will be filed.

They cordoned off the entrance to the northbound platform at the station as they searched the scene for any evidence, and soon, MTA crews were seen jumping onto the subway track, where they also appeared to be collecting evidence.

Meanwhile, another MTA employee was seen scrubbing down the platform where the blood had splattered before the platform filled with frustrated New Yorkers upset with the ongoing delays.

‘They just don’t understand the meaning of life. That’s what the problem is with a lot of these young people who are doing this kind of moronic, ridiculous thing,’ said Everett Jennings, of Rego Park to CBS News.

‘A lot of people are being more daredevil. I don’t get it, but what can we do,’ another person added.

‘I think a lot of people are in an oblivion when they do things like that. They don’t think it’s gonna happen to them, or they think that they can make it,’ added Carla Olmez.
