Cosy cottage once owned by children’s TV star Fearne Cotton in leafy London surburb goes on the market for £1million

A cottage that was once owned by children’s TV star Fearne Cotton has now been put on the market for £1million.

The three-bedroom home in Richmond, south west London was purchased by the children’s TV star in 2004.

The Grade II Listed property boasts a ‘unique’ layout and history with a low ceiling kitchen complete with an Aga cooker and a bathroom set into the roof.

It last went on sale in 2008, although its current owners are only recorded to have bought the pad as recently as 2017.

Ms Cotton is thought to have lived at the mid-terrace home while presenting BBC One music show Top of the Pops, which she fronted from 2002, and still lives in Richmond with her husband Jesse Wood and their two children, Rex and Honey.

She reportedly decorated the place with her paintings of well known celebrities including Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, according to the Evening Standard.

The cottage’s ground floor kitchen contains a huge silver double fridge and wooden counter tops.

It also comes with outdoor space in the form of a walled courtyard with wisteria facade. 

Dominic Murray, sales manager estate agent John D Wood and Co suggested the cottage would be ideal for ‘petite buyers’ while maintaining it had ‘lots of charm and character’. 

According to Rightmove, Richmond properties average at over £1million, with sold prices 7% up from 2020.

The leafy borough is also home to Sir David Attenborough, Amanda Holden and actor Tom Hardy.
