Galatasaray 3-3 Man United: Erik ten Hag’s side left to rue their mistakes after giving away a two-goal lead TWICE, with Bruno Fernandes scoring a first-half stunner before ex-Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech leads gallant comeback for the Turkish outfit

Galatasaray mounted a stirring comeback to seal a 3-3 draw against Manchester United in what was an enthralling game of football that saw Erik ten Hag’s side give away a two-goal lead twice during the match.

After his stunning overhead kick on Sunday against Everton, Alejandro Garnacho put the away side ahead, silencing the partisan crowd with a brilliant finish at the near post.

Bruno Fernandes doubled their lead just seven minutes later, with a superb long-range strike, getting Man United off to a dream start in front of a partisan crowd.

Despite their fast start, Galatasaray hit back before half-time with hakim Ziyech scoring from a free-kick.

They could have had a second just before the break, with Mauro Icardi going one-on-one with Andre Onana, before slotting the ball into the back of the net. But the goal was chalked with Icardi narrowly being ruled offside!

United bounced back after the break with Scott McTominay sliding to tap in a cross from Aaron Wan-Bissaka at the near post, but they allowed the Turkish side back in, with Ziyech scoring from another free-kick.

He whipped the ball in from the right side but Andre Onana could not hang on to the shot, tipping it into the back of his own net.

The former Chelsea man was back again just six minutes later, playing in Kerem Akturkoglu who drove through the United defence to score the equaliser and seal a draw for Galatasaray.

United had several close chances at the end of the match, but just couldn’t put them away, with Fernandes hitting the post from long-range.
