Footage of Union Saint-Gilloise’s pre-match speech has emerged online as their captain is seen to rally his side ahead of what became a historic night for the German club. 

Captain Anthony Moris is seen motivating his side ahead of the Europa League clash with Liverpool. 

The English side had already secured qualification in Group E, having beaten LASK 4-0 and Toulouse 5-1 earlier in the competition. 

Heading into the match, the Belgian club were motivated by their captain’s words, who began: ‘Today, I don’t want one person in this dressing room to think we have nothing to lose.

‘Of course we have something to lose. We speak about qualifying for the next round in Europe, we speak about money, we speak about being proud.

It was the Belgian side who took the lead just over half an hour into play, with Mohamed Amoura netting for the hosts.
