Married At First Sight EXCLUSIVE: The pictures that reveal the TRUTH about Mishel Karen and Steve Burley
Married At First Sight’s Mishel Karen and Steve Burley ‘lived like strangers while filming the show in Sydney’ last year, Daily Mail Australia can reveal.
In October, the couple were bizarrely photographed passing each other on the street, both blissfully unaware of how their partner was spending the day.
It casts doubt on how much time the pair actually spent working on their ‘marriage’ when the cameras weren’t rolling, and how genuine the reality show is.

In Daily Mail Australia’s exclusive pictures, Mishel is seen leaving their apartment and heading out for lunch on Clarence Street in Sydney’s CBD on October 28.
She appeared stunned as Steve walked past her, returning with his own lunch.
They proceeded to share an awkward exchange before both heading in opposite directions, continuing to spend their spare time away from each other.

An onlooker tells Daily Mail Australia: ‘It was like they were old acquaintances bumping into each other, not a couple. Steve looked like he tried to avoid her.’
However, throughout the three month production in Sydney, they were occasionally photographed out together – but rarely looked happy to be socialising.
There was only one occasion in October when they were pictured smiling.

It comes as Steve’s lack of attraction towards Mishel has caused issues on the show.
On Sunday’s episode of Married At First Sight, Mishel, 49, was upset at his failure to get intimate after finally agreeing to sleep in the same bed as her.
Rather than passionately kissing, Steve, 51, gave Mishel a quick peck and then wrapped an arm around her before falling asleep.
