Manchester United have reportedly scouted highly-rated Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as they consider a potential move to bring him to Old Trafford.

Man United have been scouting Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch over a possible move

The Athletic have reported that the 19-year-old is a key target for the Red Devils as they look to the future following their disappointing Champions League exit.

One potential problem though is a man they are well aware of in the form of football super-agent Mino Raiola.

Raiola, who United have experienced issues with in relation to their current midfield star Paul Pogba, also represents Gravenberch.

The Ajax star favours a move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, where Raiola is said to have strong connections.

Gravenberch is the latest player to have come through Ajax’s famous youth academy which also produced Donny van de Beek, who left United on loan to Everton in January.

He became a regular at the club last season and has already made 97 appearances for the Dutch side, scoring 11 goals.

Standing at 6’2′ the Dutchman is physically robust, has excellent feet and has the ability to get out of tight spaces.

At Ajax, he has mainly operated in a double pivot and drops deep to help facilitate build-up play.

One key factor over whether he should move to United is whether they qualify for the Champions League.

The Red Devils, who are going to go trophy-less for the fifth season in a row, are one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal who have two games in hand.
