Retired AFL star Andrew Embley reveals he’s expecting a baby girl with wife Caitlyn Fogarty-Embley

Andrew Embley has announced he’s expecting his first child with his new wife, Caitlyn Fogarty-Embley.

The 40-year-old former Australian rules footballer made the announcement on Perth’s Triple M breakfast show on Monday. 

‘I can confirm that… we’re having a beautiful baby girl. We found out around 12 weeks, we had a gender reveal with my three children,’ he said.

Andrew is already a father to three children – Autumn, 12, Lux, 10, and Van, eight – with his ex-wife, Rayne Bryant.

He married Caitlyn in November last year, and described his new bride as being an ‘incredible step-mum’.

The retired West Coast Eagles star also revealed that Caitlyn is 20 weeks into the pregnancy. 

Andrew and Rayne announced their divorce in September 2016 after 10 years of marriage.  

‘After a wonderful marriage and many years living our lives both together and now separately, we feel it’s best to continue our journey as the best of friends,’ they said in a joint statement to The West Australian at the time.

‘We’ve loved our time together and whilst we love each other very much we are moving forward as friends, committed first and foremost to raising our three beautiful children together.’

Added Rayne: ‘We have so much in common and still have a lot of fun together, but we just grew apart as people sometimes do.’ 

Andrew later announced his engagement to Caitlyn in February last year, confirming the news on Triple M at the time. 

‘So second time around, going to have another crack at it, but she’s she a lovely girl and I’m a very lucky guy for her to say yes,’ he said.
