Disney+ orders animated Clone Wars spin-off Star Wars: The Bad Batch to stream in 2021
On Monday, Disney+ ordered an animated Clone Wars spin-off called Star Wars: The Bad Batch, which will start streaming in 2021.
The Bad Batch aka Clone Force 99 – made up of Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo – are a motley crew of elite and experimental clones, which boast a ‘100 percent success rate.’
The soldiers take on ‘daring mercenary missions as they struggle to stay afloat and find new purpose.’

‘Giving new and existing fans the final chapter of Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been our honor at Disney+, and we are overjoyed by the global response to this landmark series,’ said Disney+ VP of content Agnes Chu said in a statement.
‘While The Clone Wars may have come to its conclusion, our partnership with the groundbreaking storytellers and artists at Lucasfilm Animation is only beginning. We are thrilled to bring [executive producer] Dave Filoni’s vision to life through the next adventures of the Bad Batch.’
The Bad Batch is headed up by producer Athena Portillo, producer-director Brad Rau, producer-head writer Jennifer Corbett, producer Carrie Beck, and producer Josh Rimes.
