The Duchess of Cornwall was all smiles as she hosted a reception for ‘Versus Arthritis’ at her home in Clarence House in London on Tuesday.

Camilla, 72, who is President of the Royal Osteoporosis Society and Patron of Versus Arthritis, looked very much the lady in red in a bold dress, which featured V neck detail and flowed into a pleated skirt.

She completed her look with a pair of black tights and, in a show of support for the organisation, pinned a badge to the left of her dress.

The duchess kept her jewellery subtle and added a touch of glamour with a pair of simple pearl-drop earrings and a dainty bracelet.

Camilla wore her hair loose and kept her makeup minimal, adding a lashing of mascara and a touch of light pink lip gloss.

During the course of the evening, she was seen shaking hands with and engaging in conversation with members of staff who work for the charity.

The duchess has previously helped throw the spotlight on the related crippling bone condition of osteoporisis after describing how it killed her late mother, Rosalind.

Versus Arthritis is the UK’s largest charity dedicated to supporting people with arthritis.

It was launched in September 2018, following the legal merger of the two leading arthritis charities in the UK, Arthritis Research UK and Arthritis Care in November 2017.

The volunteers, healthcare professionals, researchers and friends, they do everything they can to push back against arthritis.

This includes everything from continuing to develop breakthrough treatments, campaigning relentlessly for arthritis to be seen as a priority, and supporting each other whenever it’s needed.

Those in attendance included the carers, researchers, healthcare professionals, friends, parents, runners and fundraisers who help to support the 10 million people living with arthritis.

According to their website, the staff members are all united in their ambition to ensure that one day, no one will have to live with the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis causes.
