A woman revealed how she bought her dog a £3.50 baby bathrobe to stop him rubbing his wet fur against her newly painted walls. 

Christina Thygesen, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, told how her beloved pup would often shake his wet fur after having a shower, so she thought of a creative way to stop him ruining her recent DIY work. 

Taking to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she shared an adorable snap of the pooch snuggled into the Tesco bathrobe.

And pet lovers across the nation were quick to take to the comments section, with one writing: ‘This is the most precious photo. What a great idea.’ 

Christina explained how she bought a baby-sized bathrobe adorned with tiny antlers – giving the illusion of a deer. 

She had also added that she had to tie the petite belt into a small knot on the pup’s belly. 

The dog, whose name is unknown, looked snug as a bug in the F&F robe – despite not seeming entirely convinced by his post-bath attire.

The adorable snap received over 8, 600 likes and garnered an impressive 845 comments. 

Members of the group swooned over the ‘precious’ picture, with some saying they would be doing the same for their own pups.

‘Aww how cute I can’t believe how a baby robe fits yourr dog,’ enthused one, while a second gushed: ‘Omg good idea thank will be doing this.’
