Channing Tatum and Jessie J enjoy a night out…after ex wife Jenna Dewan announces engagement

Channing Tatum and his popstar lover Jessie J endured a brief split in December of 2019, but come late January the pair were back in action.

And the couple enjoyed an intimate dinner with friends at Nobu restaurant in Malibu on Tuesday evening.

Hours before their late night munch, Channing’s ex wife Jenna Dewan took to Instagram to announce that her and her Broadway beau Steve Kazee were officially engaged. 

The loved-up pair kept it coordinated for their evening outing in all black ensembles.

Tatum showed off his enviably toned biceps in a tight fitting black tee styled with black denim jeans and a pair of sneakers featuring yellow reflective soles.

The Magic Mike star represented his favorite team at dinner by sporting a monochromatic New Orleans Saints cap.

It was clear the actor was assigned leftovers duty, as he carried a slew of to-go bags in his hands. 

Jessie J cut a stylish figure in a velvet wrap dress that included a sexy slit just up the singer’s front.

She accessorized with pair of white thigh-high boots with pointed toes and an over-the-shoulder Stella McCartney purse that showcased a pink snakeskin pattern. 

The Price Tag songstress got behind the wheel of an all black Mercedes, while her 39-year-old beau slipped into the passenger’s side.  

Since their reconciliation, the couple have been flaunting their revived romance on social media.

On Monday, Jesse J – whose full name is  Jessica Ellen Cornish – shared a slew of intimate video clips of the couple enjoying a night in.

One clip captured the singer and her actor beau locking lips, while lounging on a couch.

In another shared to Channing’s page, the lovebirds indulged in an impromptu dance party prompted by their mutual love of singer Sam Smith.

‘@samsmith is the mood right now,’ captioned the Hollywood hunk.  

It’s believed Channing and Jessie – who split in December after a year together – had decided to go their separate ways at the time because they had been struggling to make their long-distance relationship work due to their globe-trotting and highly-demanding careers.

A source said at the time of the split: ‘He [Channing] is super busy with his career, as a dad and will be travelling a lot in the coming months. He has a world awaiting him and is trying to manage how busy he is which isn’t easy.’

But, since reconciling in January, the couple appear more dedicated to one another than ever. 

Jessie and Channing went public in October 2018 – the same month his ex-wife 39-year-old Jenna Dewan filed for divorce from him after eight years.

Jessie originally met the Lego Movie 2 star in 2015 when she presented him with the MTV Movie Award for best comedic performance for his film 21 Jump Street. 

Channing appears to be fully moved on with his 31-year-old girlfriend after having divorced dancer and actress Jenna Dewan in April of 2018 after nine years of marriage.

But Dewan has done a lot of moving on of her own, as she took things to a major next level with Kazee on Tuesday. 

‘A lifetime to love and grow with you…you have my heart,’ captioned Dewan on the post shared with her 6million Instagram followers.

The caption coincided with a loving snapshot of the Step Up actress and Kazee engaging in a tender kiss, as Jenna strategically flashes that infamous finger.

The surprise engagement went down during Dewan’s baby shower, where Kazee got down on one knee and proposed to the expectant mother in front of her closest friends and family. 

Jenna is currently expecting her second child with Kazee, but is already mom to six-year-old Everly whom she shares with ex Tatum.

Jenna’s celebration was lavish, featuring friends, flowers, fabulous food, a crystal-infused ‘blessing circle’ and much more. In true influencer sponcon style, she was sure to tag and shout out all the vendors from the big day. 

The dancer/actress looked like a princess as she draped her ever-growing baby bump in a flowy off-white dress. She added another regal touch via a delicate crystal-crown. 

At the end of January, it was reported that Jenna and her ex-husband had reached a custody agreement over their daughter, Everly.

The couple agreed to a ’50/50 custody’ arrangement, and will not use her in paid social media ads, without each other’s approval, according to The Blast.

The duo have been ‘legally single’ since last November, according to People.

That same month, Channing had sought a judge to help the two come up with a ‘custody schedule.’

‘Due to our constantly changing work schedules, we have had conflicts over adjustments to our schedules to ensure both parties are able to have equal time with our daughter, Everly.’
