Liev Schreiber takes his two children to opening night of West Side Story on Broadway in New York
A new interpretation of West Side Story opened on the Great White Way at the Broadway Theatre on Thursday.
Being a theater buff, Liev Schreiber used the occasion to spend some quality time with his two children that he shares with ex-wife Naomi Watts.
Some of the other high-profile names on hand for the starry night included Vanessa Hudgens, Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria Baldwin, Iman, Debi Mazar and Chris Cooper.

With the winter chill in the air in the big city, the Ray Donovan star hit the red carpet all bundled up in a black jacket and a black scarf wrapped around his neck a couple of times.
He matched it with black pants and brown suede shoes, as he held hands with Samuel Kai Schreiber, 11, who warmed up in a puffy hot pink coat, jeans and sneakers.
Brother Alexander, 12, who’s often called by his nickname Sasha, stood to his dad’s right and flashed a big smile dressed in black pants, jacket and baseball cap, along with white sneakers.
Earlier this month the Ray Donovan star took Alexander ‘Sasha’ to the Super Bowl in Miami that saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49’ers

This latest incarnation Of West Side Story transposes Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet to the gang-ridden streets of 1950s Manhattan, dominated by the Sharks and the Jets.
At the center of the story are two teens from the bitter-rival gangs meet and fall in love at a fateful gym dance, according to Playbill.
The play brings together director by Ivo van Hove (A View From The Bridge and The Crucible, choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, designer Jan Versweyveld, and 33 young performers who are all making their Broadway debuts.

The night out on Broadway for the Schreibers comes just over two weeks after Showtime cancelled Ray Donovan after seven seasons.
A subsequent outcry by fans about the drama series being axed following a major cliffhanger had enough of an impact that the network is working on a ‘proper ending,’ either with a few additional episodes or a movie.
Schreiber, 52, teased the news on Instagram about a week ago, writing to fans, ‘It seems like your voices have been heard. Too soon to say how or when, but with a little luck and your ongoing support, there will be more Ray Donovan.’
