Blake Horstmann says nobody is going to ‘shame him into missing Stagecoach’

EXCLUSIVE: Blake Horstmann says nobody is going to ‘shame him into missing Stagecoach’ after last year’s controversy and reveals who he wants to be the next Bachelorette

Bachelor in Paradise star Blake Horstmann says he is looking forward to going to this year’s Stagecoach Festival despite last year’s controversy, and revealed who he wants to be the next Bachelorette.

Horstmann sat down with DailyMail.com at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City ahead of his first major DJ gig at the hotel’s Premier Nightclub on Saturday.

He landed in some hot water last year when he revealed during the Bachelor in Paradise season six premiere that he had slept with two women from the franchise – Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Kristina Schulman – over the course of one weekend at Stagecoach country music festival.

Horstmann said: ‘Yes I am definitely still going. I’m not going to let people shame me into not going to a music festival.’

The cheeky 30-year-old joked: ‘I’ll be a little more careful, but I’m really looking forward to it.’

Asked whether he thinks there will be any awkward reunions, the runner-up of season 14 of The Bachelorette added: ‘No absolutely not at all. I was talking to Kristina and she’s going to be there and we’re going to hang out. It’s totally fine. We’re all friends.’

The next Bachelorette is set to be announced on Good Morning America on Monday and Horstmann said he’d heard some rumors about who it might be.

‘I feel like there’s a few names getting thrown out right now – Tia, Tayshia, Kelsey and then I hear Clare Crawley is being thrown out there from an old season,’ he said. ‘I want Tia. I think Tia would make a fantastic Bachelorette. We’ll see how it plays out.’

Horstmann also spoke to DailyMail.com about being attacked at New Year’s, which left him with a fractured orbital bone.

‘That was so crazy, just a random punch to the face,’ he explained. ‘I didn’t need surgery thank God, it healed on it’s own.

‘It was a rough start to 2020, but so far it’s shaping up to be a good year.’

The reality star then took to the stage and performed an hour-long DJ set, and wasn’t afraid to jump on the booth and dance along to the tunes. He also threw out roses into the crowd.

He told DailyMail.com before starting the set: ‘I started six or seven months ago DJing and I fell in love with it and I was like “this is something I really want to do and I can do.” I got pretty good over the last few months.

‘This is my first big show, I’ve had a lot of little shows. I’m excited, anxious, nervous, all of the above.’

Asked about his plans for this year, he added: “I think the biggest thing is DJing. I’ve got some other big things I can’t talk about about yet.

‘I’m not going to go to Paradise, do anything like that this summer.’
