This is the terrifying moment a driver slams into a concrete highway barrier after deciding to change lanes at the last minute.

Dashcam footage shows the vehicle, travelling at around 80mph, flip over and stop facing the wrong direction at exit 118 of the 417 Highway in Ottawa, Canada.

The clip starts showing the car flashing its indicators as it prepares to cross over a white line onto the exit lane.

As the driver makes the lane change, however, she hits a concrete barrier and sends clouds of dust splattering into the air.

The car rolls across two lanes before coming to a stop facing in the wrong direction on a third.

The video’s recorder and another vehicle then come to a stop to assist the individual.
