Katy Perry reveals her parents won’t kiss, hug or shake her hand while she is pregnant due to fears over coronavirus
Katy Perry is expecting her first child with fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
And on Monday, the American pop star revealed her parents were taking Coronavirus precautions quite seriously while she’s pregnant.
The singer, 35, told Hit’s Hughesy & Ed that her mother and father were hesitant to make contact with her during the heightened panic surrounding the disease.

The public have been advised not to shake hands, hug or kiss others to avoid risk of contracting the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Comedian Dave Hughes joked about the virus, saying: ‘Put that on record, Katy Perry has a European kiss, even in this day and age.’
Katy then revealed: ‘My parents fist-bumped me the other day. I was like “What? Okay. I don’t know. Cool”.’

‘I came out of them and everything, but I was like, sure, yeah,’ she joked.
‘That’s what watching the news forever will do, I guess,’ Katy shrugged it off, referencing the panic over the Coronavirus outbreak.
Globally, the infection has spread to more than 113,000 people. At least 3,900 people have died.
Elsewhere during the chat, the Teenage Dream singer claimed she didn’t know what gender her unborn child was yet, but said: ‘The universe will give me exactly what I need.’
