Brad Pitt to join Viola Davis and Melissa McCarthy along with other stars on the Property Brothers’ new home renovation show Celebrity IOU
The Property Brothers are recruiting some serious star power for their new HGTV show Celebrity IOU, which premieres next month.
Brad Pitt, Viola Davis and Melissa McCarthy are just some of the Hollywood A-listers joining the famous home renovation siblings Drew and Jonathan Scott for the new series, which sees the pair teaming up with stars to help them each give back to someone special in their lives with a home improvement project.
As reported by Entertainment Tonight, part of the fun and conceit of the show is being able to watch people like McCarthy, Rebel Wilson and Michael Buble get down and dirty with power tools or home demolition, all in the spirit of giving back.

‘Celebrity IOU, basically, we partner with huge celebrities,’ Jonathan said on Tuesday’s episode of ET.
‘And they want to give back to somebody who’s really important in their life. They partner with us to make that happen.’
About Pitt specifically, Jonathan said he was ‘a Property Brother from another mother,’ continuing to say that ‘he’s brilliant when it comes to the home. So the fact that he was part of our premiere episode of Celebrity IOU is amazing.

‘I will admit when we were doing demolition, he beat me through the walls. Like, he smashed through that thing like no one’s business,’ he continued.
‘Really, it was so cool to see someone that’s such a huge celebrity just want to get in and put his own hands in on the work because he wanted to do this for someone he loves.’
The premiere episode will see recent Oscar winner Brad get into a home renovation project for his makeup artist of more than 30 years, Jean Black.

‘This is somebody who’s been with him through thick and thin,’ Jonathan explained, with his brother Drew interjecting, ‘When you see them together, it’s almost like two kids, really funny together.’
Another highlight is watching McCarthy get handsy with a power tool.
‘Melissa is so funny during demolition,’ Jonathan said. ‘There is nothing she would back away from!’
Celebrity IOU premieres Monday, April 13, at 9 pm ET/PT on HGTV.
