Gwyneth Paltrow has been blasted for sharing a ‘tone-deaf’ selfie on her Goop Instagram account on Friday.

The actress and self-styled health and wellness guru, 47, posed for a mirror shot dressed in casual G.Label outfit that totaled around $875 and the post included a ‘tap to shop’ option.

The caption read: ‘Most days you’ll find GP wearing G.Label with a pair of sneakers—which is one reason we make it an annual tradition to put together a fresh sneaker guide each year. Get ready to cover some serious ground (run, dont walk). Link in bio for the guide & tap to shop GP’s outfit.’

But the backlash came thick and fast in the comments section, and the post was deleted around four hours later.

‘Sorry, why don’t you use your power to inform and spread awareness on what’s going on in the world. I live in Italy and here we are just a few weeks ahead ….remember time flies,’ added one user.

A user called lisavalencia1 added: ‘Come on goop, when you said GP, I thought at 1st you were referring to. dr, please use your platform in a more sensitive way at time when we are suffering with a global epidemic, I really don’t think it’s the time to think about buying trainers when people are struggling to buy day to day supplies, we don’t want doom & gloom but maybe a post on boosting your immune system, stating healthy etc x’

One chimed: ‘You know there’s a medical emergency in the world, right? What can you offer to make it easier for people??’

Another balked at the huge price tag, writing: ‘And at only $875 it’s a total steal. I just won’t pay my car payment or my rent.’
