Matthew Morrison’s son Revel, 2, helps him with face mask… before postponing NYC concert

Glee alum Matthew Morrison donned a protective face mask on the streets of Manhattan Thursday after New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio declared a state of emergency over coronavirus concerns.

The 41-year-old NoCal native – who boasts 2.3M social media followers – had Instastoried a snap of his two-year-old son Revel helping him put on the mask.

‘Getting papa ready for the day,’ Matthew captioned the image. 

Morrison reluctantly decided to postpone his concert/conversation scheduled for Friday night at nearby Sony Hall ‘out of an abundance of caution for health and safety of attendees.’

As of Thursday, New York state has confirmed 328 cases of people contracting novel coronavirus aka COVID-19 – including 95 people in New York City.

At this point, it’s highly likely the Tony-nominated triple-threat’s Good Morning America concert in Times Square this Friday will also be canceled.

Matthew neglected to wear his face mask as he headed inside one building.

Once Morrison removed his black fedora and camel-colored winter coat, he was wearing a striped white top beneath a black blazer and dark-rinse denim.

The AHS: 1984 actor was hard at work promoting his third studio album of 10 Disney covers called Disney Dreamin’ with Matthew Morrison, which was dedicated to his son Revel.

‘It was great for him because I actually sing him to sleep with lullabies every night and then we have a dance party every morning when we wake up. So I wanted to do half the album lullabies, half the album dance party-style songs,’ Matthew told New York Live on Thursday.

‘It’s a very musical family. My wife [Renee Puente] is a singer as well, so we are always singing and dancing in the house. He has this one-handed fist pump he does.’  

On October 12, the married couple of five years suffered the heartbreak of her miscarrying their second child at 6 weeks along.

Morrison recently finished filming the 10-episode series two of BBC One talent competition The Greatest Dancer in which he came in fourth place.

The NYU Tisch drop-out’s dance captain rival Oti Mabuse and her protégé 14-year-old solo dancer Ellie Fergusson from Livingston, West Lothian won the £50,000 prize and chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.
