In November, Scott announced that he was leaving Channel 10’s The Loop after eight years to pursue a career overseas, and had landed a gig as an E! News presenter.

He said at the time: ‘I have been on this show for eight years, I have gone grey on The Loop, I started shaving on the Loop, but it’s time for me to get out of here.’

On December 7, his co-host Liv Phyland paid tribute to her colleague on his last day at work, telling her Instagram followers she was ‘an emotional wreck’ to see him go.
