‘While it’s a good time to be living in a little love bubble with nowhere to go, I’m conscious of the confusion and anxiety that many new mums might be feeling right now,’ Sylvia wrote.

The journalist added: ‘Mother’s groups – a social lifeline for many – have been cancelled, libraries closed, cafes are being avoided.’

‘So I just wanted to send some love and virtual hugs to other mamas out there who might be feeling extra-isolated.’

Sylvia encouraged mothers to ‘drop a comment’ if they needed to connect with others in a similar situation.

‘Chat about reflux, laugh out loud about [poo emoji] namis, recommend some bingeworthy series, or share your sleep secrets. Let’s chat and be kind and stay connected. Big love, from us,’ she said, adding the hashtag ‘together at home.’

Understandably, the comment second was immediately filled with other parents reaching out, offering support, asking advice or just thanking Sylvia for creating a space to chat.

‘We do go for daily walks to get fresh air and mum to get some exercise. Hope you are enjoying motherhood just as much as me!’

Other celebrity mothers also complimented Sylvia on the sweet picture and post.

‘Heaven!’ Sarah Harris wrote.

Edwina Bartholomew commented: ‘Just lovely. I feel like I’ve already told you my [poo emoji] nami stories.’

‘Perhaps I’ll advance to sharing photos,’ she joked, adding the hashtag, ‘too much together at home.’

As of Wednesday, there are 531 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Australia and five deaths.
