The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe teases how ‘annoying’ her boyfriend Jason Tatrick has been

The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe opened up about how ‘annoying’ her boyfriend Jason Tatrick has been during their self-isolation due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Bristowe, 34, and Tatrick, 31, appeared on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison’s weekly Group Date on Instagram Live Friday.

She revealed that she has a ‘serious case of misophonia,’ meaning she ‘can’t handle’ the sound of people chewing food around her.

She was searching for the word about how it made her feel, and when Harrison suggested, ‘Triggering,’ she agreed.

‘Triggering! And it’s like, he ate cereal this morning and I was not OK,’ she added, as Tatrick, a banker, tried to defend himself.

‘I’m playing doctor the last four months. I chew cereal with my mouth closed the wrong way and that’s not OK,” the banker chimed in as he laughed.

Harrison’s girlfriend, Entertainment Tonight correspondent Lauren Zima, revealed her boyfriend had the same issue with her.

‘I can’t believe you’re saying this ‘cause I literally learned in probably the past two days that he was like this,’ Zima said. ‘I’d be eating and he’d go, “Why are you chewing so loudly?”‘

Bristowe admitted she doesn’t really know why, but, ‘it’s just the sound is, like, so irritating and it sounds louder than it should and it is a trigger.’

‘People that don’t have it don’t understand how severe it is,’ Bristowe added, while Tatrick said her condition is ‘contagious.

‘I’ll be out with my buddies, normally I wouldn’t care at all, and then they’re chewing and I’m giving them looks and I’m like, “What’s happening to me?” he said.

Bristowe first appeared on Season 19 of The Bachelor before she was named The Bachelorette in Season 11.

Bristowe and Tatrick, who appeared on Season 14 of The Bachelorette with Becca Kurfin, started dating in January 2019.

The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss revealed on Friday that they plan on re-airing ‘the world’s greatest episodes’ of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, but Harrison said he wouldn’t re-air Bristowe’s season.

‘I wouldn’t do that to Kaitlyn,’ Harrison said of her 2015 season, where Bristowe was slammed for allowing Nick Viall to join the competition and then for sleeping with him before the fantasy suite.
