Hargreaves Lansdown scales back its help centre hours to deal with surge in enquiries

Hargreaves Lansdown says it is concentrating staff between 8am and 5pm on weekdays to keep delays to a minimum

Investment platform Hargreaves Lansdown has scaled back its help centre hours so that it can deal with a surge in enquiries.

The firm says it is concentrating staff between 8am and 5pm on weekdays to keep delays to a minimum.

In an email to customers, chief executive Chris Hill says: ‘The recent market volatility has placed an unprecedented demand on some aspects of our service.’

The firm’s lines were previously open until 7pm on weekdays and on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.

But the investment broker said it will extend its helpdesk opening hours as usual towards the end of the tax year — including the weekend of April 4 and 5.
