Stunning images reveal how cities around the world have changed in the past 100 years as they’ve expanded or been ravaged by war – but how many can YOU recognise?

Stunning pictures have shown how cities around the world have changed over the last 200 years as they have expanded or been ravaged by war.

And this quiz tests the knowledge of even the most well-travelled geography buffs, with a challenge to pick the city where old sepia photographs were taken.

Travel website Scenic found 14 old images of various historical landmarks and  says those who can get 11 to 14 right are ‘professional grade’ in their knowledge of geography. 

One grainy photo shows a European city after being wrecked by bombing in the 1940s, with one famous structure still standing, while another features a distinctive skyline that’s appeared on Game of Thrones.
