‘The moment is what we have’: Selma Blair suggests positivity and kindness will help people weather coronavirus crisis

Her multiple sclerosis in 2018 changed her life, forcing her to stay home more and making it more difficult for her to communicate with others.

And during a chat with Miley Cyrus on the singer’s Bright Minded show Monday, Selma Blair shared some of the insights she’s learned from her medical diagnosis.

As many Americans remain under a ‘stay at home’ order due to the coronavirus pandemic, Blair, 47, shared that staying positive and being kind will help people weather the crisis.

‘This moment is what we have. We hope for more,’ the Cruel Intentions and Hellboy star said.

‘Be open but also really take this opportunity to be the best you you can be, to help your days along,’ she added.

Having an underlying medical condition makes the actress more vulnerable to complications from COVID-19 but while taking precautions, she told Cyrus she remains philosophical.

‘I just really look in the moment, because now I’m a middle-aged woman with an incurable disease and it doesn’t even matter,’ she explained.

‘Anyone can be, God forbid, hit by a car on a Tuesday afternoon, so we all just really do what we can to enjoy this and help our children or parents or neighbors.’
