Love Island Australia’s Anna McEvoy has spoken candidly about how she’s overcoming feelings of depression and anxiety while self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 27-year-old shared her top tips for banishing negative thoughts including making a bucket list, cuddling her pets, pumping up the music and drinking herbal tea.

‘We all (feel like we) don’t have that much to look forward too, but the truth is there is so much to look forward to,’ she said in a YouTube video.

‘So write a bucket list and remind yourself of all the exciting things that are to come,’ she added.

The blonde beauty went on to explain that whenever she feels like having a cuddle, she heads straight to her pets.

‘When I feel really sad I give my pet a cuddle and feel instantly better,’ she said.

The influencer also shared that pumping up her favourite tunes has an uplifting effect on her mood.

‘Music is amazing as it can take you back to a really happy place,’ she explained.

The model also revealed that whenever she does start to feel a bit anxious, she makes a cup of ‘peppermint tea’ and has found that chamomile tea ‘really calms me down’.

Anna also admitted she needs to make sure she’s getting regular exercise and not eating too much junk food, as it has a big impact on her overall mood.

Anna rose to fame on Love Island last year when she won the series alongside partner Josh Packham.

The loved-up pair have continued their relationship since filming ended and are still going strong.

In January, Anna shared a selfie of the couple engaging in a romantic little smooch.

In the image, Anna and 26-year-old boyfriend cuddle up together, with her making a cute duck face while wearing bright orange lipstick.

As she pouts for the camera, Josh puckered up for her, planting a kiss on the blonde’s cheek.

Anna captioned the festive photograph: ‘To the moon and back and always’, adding a heart emoji.
