Delta Goodrem performs a powerful duet with medical professionals at Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital to mark International Nurses Day

Singer Delta Goodrem performed for Music For the Homefront, as part of the COVID-19 relief effort. 

And the 35-year-old singer has thrown her support behind frontline workers yet again, performing for International Nurses Day.   

Posting to her Instagram on Tuesday, Delta said she was honoured to ‘sing from our hearts’ after performing a duet with nurses from Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital.

‘Nurses are the first in line to care for us. They are our communicators and companions in a crisis,’ Delta said. 

Delta and the nurses sang her 2006 hit, Together We Are One. 

The talented singer went on to say she was in awe of their commitment to others in their time of need.

‘I am always struck by their humility, their humanity and their commitment to looking after us. You are the heart of soul of the Hospitals and we thank you.’

The video features Delta singing alongside the nurses, with the professionals front and centre in the clip.

Delta is seen performing at her piano at home, while the nurses are in their scrubs at work.

Delta had a high-profile battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma when she was just 18-years-old, and was treated at St Vincent’s.   

Speaking to WHO magazine about the 2003 diagnosis last month, Delta said she was in shock after learning she had cancer.

Delta lost her hair due to chemotherapy and said the changes to her physical appearance were ‘confronting’.
