Karl Stefanovic shares a rare glimpse of his two-week-old daughter Harper May fast asleep and says the newborn is ‘an exquisite little thing’

Today show host Karl Stefanovic and his wife, Jasmine Yarbrough, welcomed a baby girl named Harper May earlier this month.

And on Friday, the Channel Nine star offered a glimpse of his newborn daughter during an Instagram livestream with Today’s entertainment reporter Brooke Boney.

He described the child, who was sleeping in her cradle, as ‘an exquisite little thing’.

During the broadcast, he quietly stepped back into his bedroom and was careful not to wake up Jasmine, who was also asleep in the room.

He then turned the camera towards two-week-old Harper May, who looked very cosy in a pink onesie while wrapped in her blanket.

At one point, the baby grabbed her father’s finger and he gently stroked her hand.

After sharing a quick glimpse of the baby, Karl left the room while taking care not to disturb mother and daughter.

He went on to speak candidly about becoming a father again.

‘[Harper May is a] beaut and she doesn’t do too bad at night. She’s doing three hours and whatnot and then feeding and then going back to sleep,’ he said.

‘She’s certainly quite well, which is great.’

He told his co-host Allison Langdon that he was ‘struggling a bit’ when she asked him how he was finding being back at work so soon.

‘Everything hurts. I’m tired. Emotional,’ he confessed.

But the struggle was clearly worth it for Karl, who said of his little girl: ‘She is so gorgeous, 2.9 kilos of just scrumptious delight.’

He added: ‘She’s sleeping okay, three hours on, three hours off. Jasmine has just taken it in her stride. She is feeding really well. It makes me cry already.’

Karl also has three older children, Jackson, 20, Ava, 15, and River, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.
