Cynthia Erivo’s upcoming summer appearances have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 crisis. 

But the Grammy winner is continuing to entertain and inspire during her self-quarantine.

She delivered a beautifully uplifting cover of Mariah Carey’s 1993 hit Hero from home Monday for the virtual star-studded PBS National Memorial Day Concert.

The 33-year-old dedicated the song to essential workers amid the growing coronavirus pandemic. 

She prefaced the performance: ‘It’s an honor to be back again for the National Memorial Day Concert. 

‘This song is dedicated to all the new heroes fighting on the frontlines of the COVID-19 virus.’ 

It comes after Erivo’s August 21 performance was cancelled along with the rest of the Hollywood Bowl’s summer season.

But she’s keeping busy during quarantine, giving remote performances for various good causes.

The Harriet star sang America, the Beautiful earlier this month for American Ballet Theatre: Together Tonight’s 80th anniversary, benefitting the ABT Crisis Relief Fund.

She joined Lin-Manuel Miranda, Andrew Rannells, Ben Platt, Chris Jackson, Idina Menzel and Karen Olivo for a performance of New York, New York on the Rise Up New York! virtual telethon.

The Oscar nominee is also participating in a star-studded reading series of James and the Giant Peach for Partners In Health.

Erivo can be seen portraying Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin on National Geographic’s Genius anthology series, which premieres in the fall.
