Facebook users praised the ‘gorgeous’ DIY project after Tesenai shared before-and-after snaps  on Facebook’s DIY On A Budget UK.

Speaking to FEMAIL, Tesenai said: ‘We sanded it first and did two coats of paint. My 9 year old son painted the whole thing I just helped with smaller areas.’

Tesenai spent £24.99 on outdoor paint from Amazon, revealing that the playhouse needed only 1/4 of a 5l tub to achieve their desired appearance.

The mother completed the playhouse by adding laminate flooring.
