UK viewers point out an epic editing fail on Love Island Australia as a mystery intruder enters the villa – but did YOU spot it?

Love Island Australia’s first season is airing in the UK due to coronavirus shutting down its own productions of the reality TV dating franchise.

And this week, overseas fans spotted an epic editing fail that seemingly went unnoticed by Australian viewers in 2018.

In a sea of bikini-clad Islanders there was one jarring element spotted in the background during a brief scene in the Spanish villa.

As one of the stars walked out of the bedroom in a revealing pink bikini, an older woman was seen crossing paths with the brunette.

It was almost ‘a blink and you will miss it’ moment, but nonetheless the woman’s presence on set seemed to be overlooked during the editing process.

The woman appeared on a mission as she walked through the villa in sneakers, black shorts and a grey T-shirt.

It was speculated that the mystery intruder was likely a crew member or producer.

While the comedic commentary on the show usually points out funny gaffs and producers’ presence on the series, the moment was not mentioned.

Love Island Australia fan favourite Amelia Plummer later told Daily Mail Australia that the mystery woman was actually one of the show’s producers.

Without a connection to the outside world, Amelia joked the cast probably annoyed the crew member when she was in the villa.

‘We would ask her like 1000 things,’ Amelia laughed, adding: ‘we were probably very annoying.’
