Inside Pete Evans’ Byron Bay ‘healing clinic’ – including ‘arctic chamber’ and therapies to ‘revive’

Controversial celebrity chef Pete Evans, 47, is putting the finishing touches on his new Evolve Health Labs ‘healing clinic’ in Byron Bay.

The new venture, located in the bohemian town’s Habitat Lifestyle Precinct on Bayshore Drive, has welcomed some new editions since renovations began in May.

As of Saturday, the once-empty space now bares Pete’s unmissable branding, including the Evolve logo and lettering on the front window which reads: ‘Wellness therapies to revive your body and mind.’

A large cryotherapy booth, otherwise known as an ‘arctic chamber’, has also been installed inside the clinic in recent weeks.

Cryotherapy, which involves the body being exposed to extremely cold temperatures for several minutes, is touted as a way to reduce pain and improve mood.

However, there is no scientific evidence that cryotherapy has any benefits.

The business is situated next to a cosmetic clinic and dental surgery.

The lifestyle precinct also boasts a herbal medicine practise, clothing boutique and health food cafe.

Shoppers at the precinct told Daily Mail Australia on Saturday that they were looking forward to supporting the clinic when it opens.

‘We’re a small community and support each other. It’s exciting to see something new,’ one shopper said.

Another person claimed they were unaware of Pete’s celebrity status or his recent controversies, adding that fame ‘isn’t important’ and that they’d visit the clinic once it’s open regardless of Pete’s background.

The clinic has been renovated by commercial construction firm Blaze Projects, which has been documenting the construction progress on Instagram since May.

Pete, who has no medical qualifications, announced to Facebook last month that the clinic would open towards the end of July.

According to Evolve Health Labs’ Instagram account, the clinic will offer ‘transformational practises’ such as ‘cold and conscious breath-work’.

Pete has been embroiled in an array of controversies since departing Channel Seven earlier this year, including appearing on 60 Minutes to share his bizarre conspiracy theories about COVID-19 and the 5G network.

Despite sharing misleading information about immunisation over the years, has insisted he is not an ‘anti-vaxxer’ but ‘pro-choice for medical freedom’.
